We provide Emergency Medical Technician Training Courses for Individuals and Private Ambulance Companies in the United Kingdom as well as throughout the European Union (EU), which allow candidates to progress within their organisation as they gain knowledge and skills, together with experience over time. from EMT (B) EMT(I) and EMT(ER)


The EMT(I) is a direct entry course. However, Candidates wishing to attend the EMT(II) Course must have successfully completed the EMT(I) course and 6 months post training on ambulance duties before attending the EMT(II) Course.


Candidates on the EMT(I) course who successfully complete the course can undertake the EMT(II) course within 6 months of EMT(I)

The EMT(I) Course has been designed by Experienced State Registered Paramedic Tutors in order to raise standards of those persons delivering ambulance services in the private and voluntary sectors in the United kingdom and Throughout Europe. The course aims to offer students training in Trauma and Medical Skills.



The course is designed for those working on ambulance vehicles responding to emergency medical and trauma incidents. It is also suitable for police officers, fire service personnel, private and voluntary ambulance staff, coastguard and RNLI Staff, Close protection operatives, nurses, army medical staff working in the pre-hospital field,




The EMT(I) Course consists of a total of 180 hours. This is divided as follows


  Distance Learning - Phase1

·  120 Hours Pre-learning via a guided pre-learning programme undertaken by the candidate at their home location.


  On site Training - Phase 2

·  60 Hours training at our EMT training facility in South Wales.






The pre-learning module consists of guided learning in order that candidates will have a good understanding of the following:

  • Entonox administration and guidelines






At The Training Centre (5 x 12 Hour Days Totalling 60-Hours):




  • Record keeping and accountability


  • Completing Patient Clinical Records & Record Keeping.


  • CPR and how to move a casualty in Cardiac Arrest


  • CPR on an Ambulance Trolley and in the rear of an ambulance


  • Jaw Thrust


  • Oro-Pharyngeal Airways


  • Naso-Pharyngeal Airways


  • I-GEL Airways


  • Bag-Valve Mask Resuscitation


  • AED


  • Aspiration


  • Cardiac Chest Pain


  • Chest Trauma  


  • Abdominal Trauma

  • EMT(I) Certificate issued by Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Training Agency
  • First Person on Scene Level 3
  • FREC Level 3
  • First Aid at Work Certificate valid for 3 years




Candidates will be required to obtain  the following manuals as these are essential reference manuals for the course

  • Ross   & Wilson  Anatomy & Physiology Manual
  • Ambulance Service Basic  Training Manual, IHCD 
  • Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Course Manual, Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh

Payment is required within 7 days of booking. No applications are accepted after the closing date as there simply will not be enough time for you to receive and complete the required course pre-learning modules.
